About Fruit 'n' Veg Week Teachers Students Canteens School Promos Healthy Eating Links

Schools are encouraged to involve their whole school community during Fruit ‘n’ Veg week. Through curriculum, students can participate in learning activities that convey and reinforce positive nutrition messages. This year’s theme is Get Your Skates On for Fruit ‘n’ Veg Week to encourage schools to combine healthy eating with physical activity.

There are many ways that schools and classrooms can be involved in the promotion of fruit and vegetables during Fruit ‘n’ Veg Week 2009.

This year, we are encouraging schools to host a Fruit ‘n’ Veg Week event. These events should be fun, healthy and educational, and have a wide reach in the school community. We have provided some information to help you organise your events and schools are encouraged to enter the accompanying competitions.
